Art of Hair Micro Grafting:
Hair Loss Mechanism

The hair loss known under the erudite name of andro genetic alopecia is due to a double component, hormonal, because of the male hormones still called androgens, and genetic; the interaction of these two components being specific and single for each individual.

At the man, this andro genetic mechanism, at the origin of male baldness, generally appears by a loss on the frontal area, associated or not with gulfs.  This hair loss can sometimes progress towards the top of cranium, leading then to the creation of a tonsure.

Conversely, baldness can appear by the appearance of a tonsure which evolves secondarily to a dismantling on the frontal area.  In all the cases, the area of the crown is preserved.

At the man it is possible to refer to the classification of Hamilton, which describes 7 stages of increasing aggravation.

At the woman, alopecia, often diffuses, prevails on the top of cranium, and can, contrary to the man, to spread with the area of the crown.

Except certain causes concerned with diseases or events and particular factors, this form of female baldness remains primarily of unknown origin.
